Led by De’Andre Hunter, the Virginia Cavaliers turned themselves into national champions Monday night, defeating Texas Tech for an 85-77 overtime win to take home their first NCAA Championship Title.

Virginia blew a 10-point lead midway through the first half and again late in the second before prevailing over the Red Raiders. De’Andre Hunter led the Cavaliers to victory, finishing with 27 points.The sophomore made the game-tying 3 with 12.1 seconds left in regulation, then another with 2:07 left in the extra period to give the Cavs the lead for good.

Kyle Guy scored 14 of his 24 points after halftime, while Ty Jerome finished with 16. They also helped the Cavaliers shoot 12-for-12 from the line in overtime.
