If you have an empty lap or are looking for a walking companion, Winnebago County Animal Services can help you!

The Winnebago County Animal Services (WCAS) is full of cats and dogs. Since the shelter is near capacity, they will be reducing the adoption costs for a select number of adult dogs and cats from July 17th through July 20th.

Dogs, $50 and cats, $10.

In order to adopt a cat or dog, you must be 18 years of age or older. In addition:

  • Bring a state-issued photo ID.
  • All cats and dogs in the household already, must be current with a rabies vaccination and county pet license.
  • Little or no animal complaints on your record.
  • Animal Services encourages adopters to get approval from their landlord before considering adoption.

Adoptions will include a wellness exam, spay or neuter, microchip, vaccinations including a one year rabies shot, flea and tick preventative, and more!

If you’d like more information on volunteering or adopting, please call 815-319-4100 or visit them at wcasrock.org.
