The Salvation Army of Winnebago County will have their red kettle bells out for “Christmas in July” this year, and you’ll see some familiar voices faces, ringing the bells.

Christmas in July will be Thursday, July 26th through Saturday, July 28th. The Salvation Army of Winnebago County, in partnership with Cherryvale Mall, will run the campaign to support the Women’s Restorative Justice Program (WRJP). The WRJP provides housing and supportive services for at-risk women and children in our local community.

The goal is to raise $5,000 with the kettle donations and matching gifts that will ‘double your dollars’ at the three kettle sites on the lower level by Sears, Food Court and Barnes and Noble inside Cherryvale Mall.

We here at Midwest Family Broadcasting can’t wait to get out and ring the bells and do some good. You can visit your favorite Rockford Radio personality and make your donation at the same time on Friday, July 26th.

Barnes & Noble (outside entrance):

  • 10 a.m. – Noon: Gordon Mays, 95.3 The Bull
  • Noon – 2 p.m.: Lisa Tyler, b103
  • 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.: Joe Pitt, 95.3 The Bull
  • 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Lou Lombardo, 104.9 The X

Macy’s (outside):

  • 10 a.m. – Noon: Zander and Lori, 104.9 The X
  • 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.: Steve Summers, 95.3 The Bull

Major Mark Martsolf, the Winnebago County Coordinator, states that the Women’s Restorative Justice Program is in a shortfall of $100,000 this year due to funding cuts in the county budget.

WRJP is the only one of its kind in Winnebago County and it needs our help. Come out anytime over the course of the event days and make your donation! We’ll see you there.
