This just goes to show people can’t drive in the first snowfall of the year.
Surprise, surprise… it’s snowing on Halloween in Rockford!
There is something about that first snowfall after the summer (and very brief fall) that puts everyone in a tizzy. You think you’ll be fine, your car will be able to handle it, and you are going 70 mph on the expressway when everyone else is going 50. I get it.
But even the smallest amounts of snow, rain or slush can impact driving tremendously.
A video posted by a Rockford resident, Eddy Moreira, shows exactly what can happen if you aren’t paying attention to the roads.
The Collins & Stone Funeral Home is off South 5th Street in Rockford. There are no other reports yet of what happened, but we can blame the snow, right?
