Boone County Health Department is providing emergency response and community guidance during the COVID-19 event. The building located at 1204 Logan Ave. in Belvidere, IL 61008, will be closed to the public effective immediately until further notice.

Services during this time will be limited according to our Continuity of Operations Plan to allow staff to respond to this emergency event while assuring public health and safety measures continue. For information on each service please follow the guidance below. WIC-Women, Infant and Children:

• All appointments will be by telephone, this includes all required education and certifications. Clients will still need to bring all required paperwork.

• We will give you a specified time to pick up vouchers. Food vouchers will be issued by curbside pickup in the parking lot, please call 815-544-9730 when you arrive. If you need a package change, please notify us at the start of your call.

• To sign up as a new WIC client, call 815-544-9730.

• Your Breastfeeding Peer Counselor will be available by the telephone number provided to you. For all other WIC services and questions please call 815-544-9730.

Clinical Services:

• Infant and child immunizations will be suspended.

• Adult immunization will only be given on a case by case basis.

• STI Clinic services will be suspended. Call your medical provider for guidance.

• TB skin tests will not be administered at this time.

• Other limited services will be arranged by clinic staff. Clients will be contacted by phone. Lead Program

• All environmental and clinical lead hazard services will be suspended until further notice. Environmental Health

• All other services will be administered on a case by case basis.
