In a wild world and a “new normal”, Franchesco’s owner Benny Salamone says he had a spiritual moment of clarity and created a way for all of us to give back. Here’s how you can help our shelters in Rockford who are hurting for supplies. The Rockford Rescue Mission, Miss Carly’s and Saint Elizabeth Center need our help.

Franchesco’s owner Benny Salamone is grateful for the busy take outs and the showing of support from the Stateline for his restaurant. In a moment he calls “spiritual” he came up with an idea in which we can all participate and support each other. In addition, feel empowered.

Starting today, Tuesday, March 31st and every Tuesday from 12:00 PM NOON until 3:00 pm, Franchesco’s will park one of their delivery trucks under the entrance carport in front of their building. When you donate, Franchesco’s will say thank you with a certificate for a 12 inch cheese pizza that you can use anytime in the following week.

They will be collecting donated items for our Rockford Rescue Mission, Miss Carly’s and Saint Elizabeth Center. Please drop off non perishable food items, clothing, cleaning supplies and more at Franchesco’s 7128 Spring Creek road in Rockford off of North Perryville Road.

It’s a small way to feel positive, giving, and a part of a community that cares through this pandemic.

It’s just another reason why we love working, living, and being a Rockfordian.
