Drive-in movie theaters are making a come back in 2020. The Belvidere Park District has announced they have decided to bring back their drive-in theaters for the 2020 fall season. This summer, the Belvidere Park District hosted two drive-in movie nights at Sundstrand Park. The fall movies will also be shown here.

Belvidere Park District said they have tweaked the event and made a few technical improvements that will allow a film to be shown every Friday night this fall. This will include a permanent screen and improved video/sound projection which will enhance the experience for viewers.

The Sundstand Drive-In Theater will have only car spaces that will be safely distanced for the fall (there were lawn spaces in the summer, which there will not be for fall.)

It will cost $15 per car and the new space will now allow for up to 150 cars. Tickets can be purchased only at Sundstrand Park on the night of the movie. Credit cards and cash will be accepted and the gates open at 6:45 p.m, movies start at 8 p.m.

Here’s what the fall movie schedule will look like:
