If you’re feeling a bit wild this Halloween, maybe heading to the zoo is for you! Here are a few fun events that fall within a half-tank of the Stateline.  We’ll let you plot your path.

LINCOLN PARK ZOO GREAT PUMPKIN GLOW | Chicago IL

Have you ever wondered what happens after the zoo gates close? Here’s your chance to find out! Leave the kids at home and head to the zoo for Adults Night Out: The Great Pumpkin Glow. Enjoy the pumpkin walk, a haunted trail, themed food, seasonal cocktails, and a socially distant movie. No kids. No crowds. Just stroll among exhibits with a beer or hot cider in hand.

Open:  Thursday, October 29 | 6:30pm – 10pm
Admission:  $20-$30 adults only

MILLER PARK ZOO SPOOKTACULAR | Bloomington IL

This is a great place to show off their  Halloween costume while enjoying crafts, local vendors, up-close animal encounters and, of course, candy!

Open:  October 23-24  5pm – 8pm | October 25 11am – 3pm
Admission:  $3 members, $7 non-members; $1.75 carousel, $3 hayrides (ages 3 & up

MILWAUKEE COUNTY ZOO SPOOKTACULAR | Milwaukee WI

Calling all mummies, pumpkins, and ghosts. This event is more sweet than spooky with a maze, costumes, and, of course, goodies ghoul-ore! The animals will also be celebrating as they’ll be receiving pumpkins filled with their favorite treats for enrichment.

Open:  Wednesdays – Sundays | 6PM – 9PM | October 7 – November 1
Admission:  $10.75 adults, $8.75 kids 3-12; free under 2 & under; $12 parking

RACINE ZOO HALLOWEEN GLOW | Racine WI

Enjoy this enchanting Halloween experience from the comfort of your own vehicle.  Drive through the spooktacular light displays with ghostly charms perfect for kids of any age.

Open: October 25  6pm – 9pm | October 26 9am – 9pm
Admission:  $5 per person, FREE for children ages 2 years and younger. (Cash or credit card accepted at the gate only)
