Could it be possible that the uncertainty of the election is causing gas prices to drop again in the Rockford area? According to GasBuddy, prices in our local area fell 4.3 cents per gallon in the last week for an average of $2.16 per gallon on Monday, November 2nd.

In the last week, according to GasBuddy, the national average dropped 2.7 cents per gallon which gives local residents an average of $2.12 per gallon.

Compared to last month, those prices are down 6.1 cents, and compared to last year, they are down 48 cents per gallon. Also, motorists could see national gas prices dropping below $2 per gallon. GasBuddy said analysts have predicted that these low gas prices will continue to drop within the next two weeks.
