If you have a child who is a student in the Rockford Public School District #205, starting Monday, November 2nd, you now have the option to ask for a change for your student to either learn in person or learn remotely.

But if you want to make the change, you better do so quickly because you only have a week to decide with the deadline being November 9th. Since middle and high school teachers are teaching both in-person and remotely, RPS is making the offer to families of elementary school students.

If this seems like something you would like to do for your child, make sure you contact your school’s main office staff and request a change. The switch would take effect at the start of the second trimester on Dec. 7 and last the rest of the school year, if there is space available.
