Epic Sale: Fortnite has always been free to download and play, and has been a cash cow for Epic Games thanks to in game purchases and add-ons. Now, Epic is saying they want to try out a new Fortnite subscription service, which would give players a battle pass, a new outfit and 1000 units of in-game currency for $15.99 a month. They have sent out a survey to see what people think. Our guess is, they’re gonna find out people love free things more. Read this.

Holy Robots: With such great leaps in AI technology lately, even the Pope is taking notice. Pope Francis acknowledged that robotics can make a better world but also noted that  “respecting the dignity of the person” is also a must. He also prayed that “artifical intelligence may always serve humankind”… in other words, here’s hoping Skynet from the Terminator doesn’t come true. More here. 

Shuttle Up:  And in super tech news, Richard Branson’s Virgin Hyperloop finished its first test with human passengers. With this supershuttle, passengers could get from New York City to Washington D.C. in about 30 minutes. 400 tests were run without passengers, and in a win for the Virgin Hyperloop, the first human passengers, made it safely. The test was only 1640 feet, but they made it in 15 seconds…  Hopefully they had some Dramamine on hand.  Click for more.
