Che$$: The Queens Gambit, a popular new Netflix series about a young orphan girl who turns out to be a chess wizard, has caused actual chess set sales to skyrocket since its debut. Within 10 days of the show’s release, chess sets from Goliath Games were up 1048% and on eBay, they shot up by 258%. Only Netflix could make chess seem fun. Story here. 

Disneypool: If you’re a fan of the Deadpool series, and of Bob’s Burgers, you are in luck. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzy Molyneux Loegin, the writers of the hit series Bob’s Burgers are in talks to be the writers of the next Deadpool movie. The bad news is:  this is going to be the first Deadpool movie under the watchful eye of Disney, which for a gritty and hilarious R Rated franchise like Deadpool, could be the kiss of death. FrankenChanning? Tatum from the Black Lagoon?: Channing Tatum is in talks with the guys who made the 21 Jump Street movies to make a thus far untitled Monster Mystery Movie. They’re describing the film as a modern day, tongue-in-cheek  thriller inspired by the Universal Monster Legacy.  Well, I hope they’ve got good lawyers because Universal is pretty protective over that legacy. Unless Universal is the studio they’re using. In that case, Carry on, Channing.  Read this.
