Here are today’s Nerd News! headlines:

Toxic Tyrion?: If you remember the 1980’s cult classic the Toxic Avenger, the gory and ridiculous movie about the nerd who gets tossed into some toxic waste and becomes a toxic crime fighter, you may be pleased to know that it is being rebooted. And we don’t now what role he’s signed on for but apparently Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, Elf) has attached himself to the project. That would certainly be a new take on the Toxic Avenger if he played the title role. I’d love to see that. Source.

Gougin’ For Thousands: Aaaand, we’re back to the price-gouging jerks on eBay.  We told you before that the Playstation 5 is sold out and we probably won’t see any on the shelves until the spring. And that’s because some people bought hundreds of them and are selling them at over 100% mark-up on eBay and other online outlets. One guy bought more than 200 of them and ended up netting near $40,000… in a single week! If you do the math, that adds up to 4 digit figures for each system. Sony did say they were going to try and make sure scalpers couldn’t do that this time around, but.. apparently they failed. Story here.

Purifier 5: Speaking of gaming, if your wife doesn’t want you to play video games you may need to come up with a better cover up plan than this guy. A man in Taiwan was forced to sell his PS5 because his wife figured out that he lied about what it was. He told her it was an air purifier. Now I get how it LOOKS like it might be an air purifier, but those things don’t usually come with controllers and copies of Call of Duty Cold War.  Read this.
