The Salvation Army received a nice surprise in the red kettle for Giving Tuesday.

A Gold Krugerrand was found in their Red Kettle at the Gray Food’s grocery store! The coin is from 1976 and features a profile of Paul Kruger, the president of the South African republic Transvaal from 1882-1902.

Officials at the Salvation Army say the coin is worth $1,790! Such amazing generosity here in the stateline!
