We might be amidst a pandemic right now but that isn’t stopping cancer from putting a damper on the holidays for families throughout the Stateline. There are so many kids who are fighting cancer during this time and deserve some extra Christmas magic this year. With your support, we can make that happen!

For over 78 kids who are fighting cancer in the Stateline, Sammy’s K-Cancer Toy Drive will ensure they get to wake up on Christmas morning to a porch covered in toys! Sammy is a childhood cancer survivor and a 1st K-Cancer teammate. Join K-Cancer softball, December 19th from noon until 5 pm for a Christmas Toy Drive and bring a smile to a child with cancer. They don’t just provide toys for the family member who is fighting cancer but also presents for their siblings so they don’t feel left out!

There are a few ways you can help bring a smile to a child’s face in the Stateline with the Christmas Toy Drive. All donations made to K-Cancer Baseball and Softball from now through Christmas Eve will be used to purchase toys for local kids (and their siblings) who are fighting cancer. The girls of K Cancer Baseball and Softball will buy the gifts, wrap them, and then make Christmas Eve porch deliveries to make Christmas morning. Another way is by giving gift cards. You can purchase electronic gift cards and have them sent to the email address, kcancerbaseball@gmail.com or attend the Christmas Toy Drive event, and the girls will make sure they are distributed on Christmas Eve!

If you bring a toy or gift card you’ll get to take a picture with Santa! His little helpers will also be there to make sure that this event is COVID-safe, bringing groups in one at a time. Please make sure you wear a mask and sanitize at the door!

The Christmas Toy Drive will take place at 5063 Edgemere Court in Roscoe, IL.
