According to its parent company Highland Ventures, LTD, Family Video is set to close all of its locations. Selling movies, video games, CBD products, and store fixtures, according to the company, all stores have begun their liquidation sales.

Once all their inventory has been sold, officials say that’s when the stores will officially close. The chain was founded in Springfield, Illinois, decades ago and became one of the largest video store operations in the nation… but has begun closing down stores in the age of streaming, on-demand video.

Over the last few years, the chain has been struggling and has tried to stay afloat by getting rid of past account fees, selling CBD oil, and launching its “Save the video store” campaign.
