Here are today’s Nerd News! Headlines!

  • Coming 2 Take Over The World: In its first weekend streaming on Amazon Prime Video, the long awaited sequel to Coming to America, cleverly titled Coming 2 America, has surpassed WonderWoman 1984, and Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm as the most-streamed movie in the past year. Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and others return to reprise their roles in this new comedy. As for critical response, the film scored a 52% on Rotten Tomatoes with an audience score of 47%. The consensus is that the movie isn’t fall-down funny, but is watchable
  • Bye Bye Bethesda:  We learned a few months ago of Microsoft’s intentions to purchase Bethesda, the game developer responsible for Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Doom. Now, though, the deal is all but done as the greenlight has been given for the purchase to go down. Will this mean any sequels in those franchises from here on out will only be available on XBox, which is also owned by Microsoft? We hope not, but it might be possible, as they are paying a pretty penny. It will be a 7.4 million dollar buyout.
  • Speaking of Xbox: Microsoft has responded to frustrated gamers complaints of unresponsive controllers. They say they are working on the issue, which seems to occur when players are using the controller for both PC and Xbox games.
