Congratulations to Roscoe Middle School 8th grader, Avani Joshi, for winning her 2nd regional spelling bee title on March 17, 2021. Her winning word was “obediential.” For finishing in first place, Joshi will be invited to compete in the National Spelling Bee. She also won a trophy, a $400 gift card, the Samuel Louis Sugarman Award, a one-year subscription to Merriam-Webster Unabridged Online and a one-year subscription to Britannica Online Premium.
