Here are today’s Nerd News! headlines:

  • Movie Junk: “Scott Pilgrim vs The World” is coming back to theaters. We can expect to see the Michael Cera favorite, directed by Edgar Wright, back on the big screen on April 30th, followed by  a 4K Ultra HD Blu Ray release. As for who will play Henry Allen, The Flash’s dad in the upcoming DC’s “The Flash”Billy Crudup is out, Ron Livingston is in. The storyline for the movie is being kept very secret, but we do know that it will involve the Flash’s mother being in some sort of danger. It’s DC. They’ve got a thing for mothers. Right, Martha? .. and Martha? 
  • Ticking Clock: If you’re still messing around with a PS3, or the PS Vista or PSP systems, you are about to be obsolete. Sony is expected to close the stores on those systems, starting wit the PSP and PS3 in July followed by the Vista in late August.
  • Bad Nerds: For some reason, nerds can be very mean on social media when it comes to response to films based on their favorite franchises. Nothing’s ever good enough. Nothing’s ever right. And after the release of the Snyder Cut” of Justice League, people who worked on the movie started getting threats and personal attacks on social media. CEO of WarnerMedia Ann Sarnoff has called it “completely unacceptable,” and has expressed extreme disappointment. In an interview with Variety, she also broke news saying that there will be no Justice League sequel, nor will there be a “Snyder Cut” of “Suicide Squad”.
