For the second year in a row, an annual event that takes place in Loves Park has been canceled, due to the ongoing pandemic.

On Monday, April 19th, the city made the announcement that the fireworks and the Young at Heart Festival are canceled for 2021 because of the uncertainties and rising positivity rate in our region. The Young at Heart Festival takes place on Memorial Day weekend.

“It is unfortunate that these great community events have been cancelled again this year, but we look forward to seeing everyone at the 2022 Young at Heart parade next year. In the near future, we hope to announce an alternate date for the fireworks display later this summer.” The City of Loves Park said.
