It had been 10 years since Lucha was brought to the 815, but after last month’s success at Tamale Fest, they have now teamed up with MASA to come back more than just once a year. In May, they had a very diverse crowd and said they couldn’t have been happier.
This time, they are bringing International Superstar, Mil Muertes who has gained a huge following after being showcased in the El Rey Networks Lucha Underground show. Along with the other Galli Superstars, this event will be a great way to experience the Latino culture in a different way. The high-flying acrobatics alone is enough for anyone to want to experience this in person.
M.A.S.A is short for Mexico Americanos Saliedo Adelante and is the nonprofit that is more widely known for the Tamale Fest in Rockford or the Rockford N Stateline Foodie group. After the cancelation of the events last year, they really had time to plan for this year’s events.
Cinco On State numerous Mexican Wrestling events, the addition of Chow Down Food Truck Festival, and their 5th Anniversary of Tamale Fest, it doesn’t look like their President, Manual Salgado is slowing down one bit. The youth-based group has evolved and now has entrepreneurial and business development programs which focus on helping people and youth start businesses.
