Fireworks shows are back in action this year right here in the Stateline. There are so many activities happening from sun up to sun down the weekend of the fourth and on Independence Day. July 2nd:

The fireworks show in Shirland is scheduled for July 2nd starting at dusk until 9 p.m. The band, When Pigs Fly will be there starting at 7 pm. There is a rain date scheduled for July 9th.

July 3rd:

The RSO is back with our Independence Day tradition, the “Star Spangled Spectacular” at RVC Starlight Theatre. Enjoy patriotic music performed by the RSO under the direction of Steven Larsen from 8 p.m. to 930 p.m. Featured favorites return like Armed Forces Salute, Morton Gould’s American Salute, “Strike Up the Band”, America the Beautiful, Pops Hoedown, and many more under the stars at Starlight Theatre. Sponsored by Illinois Bank and Trust. According to their website, there will not be fireworks during the concert this year.

Join the Rochelle Aiport for a Fly-In July 4th Celebration. It will be a fun night of Rock & Roll featuring Project Nostalgia food, drinks, and of course FIREWORKS! This event is free and open to the public of all ages. It starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 pm. Rochelle Airport is located at 1201 E Gurler Road. Click HERE to get more info.

Davis Junction’s Fireworks and Movie in the Park features fireworks and the movie, Tom and Jerry. Community Park is located at 101 Lincoln Ave. in Davis Junction.  Bring your own chair or blanket. The fireworks will start at dusk and the movie will start after the fireworks show. There will be a concession stand with items available for purchase. This family-fun event will have a bouncy house, superheroes, face painting, and emergency vehicle rides from 2 pm – 7 pm. They will have fireworks at dusk along with live music by Moonshine Bandits at the outdoor band stand. Click HERE for more info.

Car racing PLUS fireworks show at dusk from 7 pm until 10 pm. You can see these fireworks show from various locations around the Speedway on Saturday and Sunday including Wentland Park (Project Playworks). Tickets start at $25 for adults, $20 for kids 12-17, $10 for kids 6-11, and $2 for kids 5 and under. Get tickets HERE

  • Winnebago Fireworks at Winnebago Middle School

The Winnebago Fireworks Show will be held at Winnebago Middle School on July 3rd, starting at dusk and the parade will begin at 10 a.m. on July 4th. This event is free to the public.

July 4th:

Listen to an Independence Day Concert by the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra starting at 7:45 pm while watching the fireworks. People will be directed to Tefler Park once the stadium is full. Pohlman Field is located at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit, Wisconsin. Click HERE for more details.

  • Rockford Fireworks and Skyconcert 2021 at Davis Park

There will be events happening from sun up to sun down in downtown Rockford and here is what you need to know to plan your day accordingly, before the can’t-miss SkyConcert 2021 takes to the sky above downtown Rockford with its soundtrack broadcast on b103, 95.3 The Bull, and 104.9 The X. Presented by Bufalo Contracting, 815 Gardens, Axberg – A Division of Black Diamond, Kunes Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Belvidere, Lonnie’s Carpetmax and Lonnie’s Stonecrafters. Special thanks to Howe Freightways, Gustafson’s Furniture and Mattress, and State Farm Agent Brian Pinkstaff!

There will be a free kids’ area with a bounce house, games, and live entertainment. Olivo Taco, Pizza Fresca, DNA Concession and Rapped with Smoke BBQ will be in the park. Hayes Distribution (Miller Light, PBR, Coors Light, Truly Twisted Tea, and more) along with Pepsi Products are also available in the park. Best seat downtown for the fireworks!

Rockford Country Club will be putting on their fireworks show this year. You will also be able to see them from the Edgewater neighborhood. This event is FREE and open to the public. Click HERE to get more info.

Cherry Valley’s 4th of July celebration starts with a parade at Village Hall at 1 pm. If you would like to participate, kids are encouraged to decorate bikes or anything with wheels and arrive at Village Hall at 12:45 pm to line up. All participants will receive a prize.   • Kirkland Fourth of July Celebration at Franklin Township Park

Kirkland is the largest show in Northern Illinois and is going all out for the 4th of July as this will be a three-day event! There will be live music including Lainey Wilson on Friday ($15 per ticket), Back Country Roads on Saturday ($10 per ticket), a tractor show, water fights, a parade, and fireworks. The fireworks show will take place at dusk on July 4th.
