ROCKFORD — The Rockford Park District needs your help.

In May, it closed and removed Saturn Park playground on Garrett Lane due to its deteriorating condition.

The park has been around since 1996, and the typical life span of a playground is about 15-20 years. Since it is one of the district’s most heavily used parks, it’s a priority to replace it, the district said on Facebook.
