Since 1998, The Trevor Project has provided crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to members of the LGBTQ+ community under the age of 25.

LGBTQ+ youth are more than four times more likely to attempt suicide than their peers, and suicide remains the second leading cause of death among all young people in the United States.

The Trevor Project offers suicide prevention counseling via its 24-hour suicide prevention hotline 866-488-7386. It also offers online classes, online support and other projects to help young people become confident in who they are as a person, know that they are important and they are worth knowing.
