Just as nothing is more wonderful than bringing a new life into this world, nothing is as devastating as the loss of a new baby.

The Haven Network is a perinatal hospice and bereavement center located in Rockford that works to help families during this exceptionally difficult time.

Whether a family has lost a child from miscarriage, stillbirth, congenital defect or sudden infant death syndrome, this caring group of volunteers helps them with every aspect of the grieving process.

They also offer services such as bathing and dressing the baby, making a memory book or box with keepsakes, providing clothing, blankets or jewelry for the baby, photography and funeral home and funeral planning information.

The Haven Network helps families connect with grief counselors.
