ROCKFORD — The Irish Marching Society’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will step off at 3 p.m. Saturday from the city’s Midtown en route to Prairie Street Brewhouse.

Here’s the route the parade will follow:

  • It forms at Seventh Street and Fourth Avenue before proceeding north on Seventh Street to State Street.
  • The parade then moves west on State to Madison Street.
  • It’s final turn is north on Madison to the Prairie Street Brewhouse, where it concludes.

The Irish Marching Society’s 2022 St. Patrick’s Day parade route begins in Midtown and ends at Prairie Street Brewhouse.

Street closures will begin at 1:30pm, and smaller streets that intersect the route will also be closed at that time.

Police will provide traffic control on arterial roadways such as Second, Third, Sixth and Seventh streets, allowing vehicles to pass periodically. However, drivers are urged to find alternate routes.

The Rockford Park District is also hosting a hockey tournament at the Riverview Ice House on Saturday and parking may be limited.
