ROCKFORD — The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Charitable Foundation is seeking artists for its annual public art initiative that creates large-scale murals across the region.

Artists, specifically those with mural experience, are being solicited to produce works of art on exterior walls this summer for the 2022 CRE8IV Transformational Art series.

CRE8IV has produced more than two dozen murals around the region, including 12 new works of art last year. It will be held at various locations again this summer, with each spot selected based on its visibility, condition and overall pedestrian traffic.

The mission of CRE8IV is to encourage and enhance cultural life and public art in the Rockford region.
