ROCKFORD — The city of Rockford and Get Connected 815 are partnering to help new nonprofits find success.

A series of five free educational sessions this spring are aimed at helping those who want to establish a nonprofit or those whose nonprofit is less than five years old.

Priority will be given to agencies focused on preventing adult or youth domestic, sexual or community violence.

“We know there are many generous people in our community who have a passion for helping people and want to start their own nonprofits but don’t know how to get started,” Mayor Tom McNamara said in a news release. “We want to help them get off on the right foot by giving them the guidance and support they need.”
