LENA — From pints to growlers, individuals quenched their thirst while supporting the people in Ukraine at Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery.

It goes back to March 17, when Penny and Nathan Peterson, owners of Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery, decided to craft a beer that would help raise money for Ukraine called “Brewkraine.”

Less than two weeks later, Brewkraine had sold out. On Friday, Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery posted on Facebook saying, “This has been the *fastest* selling beer we’ve ever released.”

All the proceeds from Brewkraine are going toward Ukraine relief.  Comments flooded the brewery’s Facebook post from individuals showing their graitude for creating such an amazing fundraiser including Sarah Luecke who said, “We loved the beer and thank you both for your efforts in making a difference for Ukraine.”

Wishful Acres Farm & Brewery is located at 4679 N. Flansburg Road in Lena and is open Friday through Sunday.
