ROCKFORD — Miracle Mile Rockford will hold a flag retirement ceremony Monday to lay its old, tattered flags that periodically line the corridor to rest.

The group will be joined by VFW Post 9759 Honor Guard, singer Jodi Beach and Boy Scout Troop 14 from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. Monday in the former Magna parking lot, 3915 E. State St., for the ceremony.

“This very dignified ceremony should be witnessed at least once in a person’s lifetime,” Miracle Mile Rockford wrote in a news release.
