WEST ALLIS — The Wisconsin State Fair will have new hours at this year’s 11-day event with food, live music, rides, agricultural showcases and more.

The fair will now be open from 10 a.m. until midnight Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday.

The fair will take place Thursday, Aug. 4 through Sunday, Aug. 14 in partnership with US Cellular, Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, Meijer and more sponsors.

The event, founded in 1851, will also host the 9th annual Sporkies, a food competition among state fair vendors.

Finalists for this year’s Sporkies include black bean burrito balls from Lakefront Brewery Beer Garden, fried pickle cheese curd tacos from Richie’s Cheese Curd Tacos, surf and turf sliders from Tropics and other original dishes.

The main stage features comedians Jeff Dunham and Charlie Berens, and the classic rock Happy Together Tour and more.

This fair will also overlap with the annual Boone County Fair, which takes place Aug. 9 through Aug. 14, in Belvidere.

Admissions: $13 tickets available July 1 through July 29, $17 general admission tickets from July 30 to the end of the fair, $12 for military/senior with ID and for youths aged 9 to 11, free admission for children five years old and younger
