The Rockford area has its share of former high school standouts making their mark on the NFL. Here’s a quick look at how some local players performed this past weekend.

Jaguars | James Robinson and Dan Arnold

The Jacksonville Jaguars visited Los Angeles over the weekend for a date with the Chargers.

Running back James Robinson, a former Rockford Lutheran and Illinois State star, picked up where he left off last Sunday by finding the end zone for a third consecutive week.

Robinson finished the day with 17 carries for 100 yards to go along with his third rushing touchdown of the season.

Dan Arnold, the former Boylan Titan and current tight end No. 2 on the Jaguars, had 1 catch for 8 yards in the Jaguars 38-10 upset win over the Chargers.

Dolphins | Robert Jones

The Dolphins and Bills squared off Sunday afternoon for one of the premier games of the weekend. Robert Jones, an offensive lineman who played for East High School and then Middle Tennessee State, didn’t get on the field this week. He has played eight offensive snaps so far this season as a backup guard. The Dolphins upset the Bills 21-19.

Packers | Dean Lowry

Dean Lowry, the former Boylan Titan and Northwestern Wildcat, is on the last year of his contract with the Packers and looking for an extension. Lowry has played really well this year and continued his hot streak on the road in Tampa Bay over the weekend. Lowry finished the game with three total tackles, including one solo tackle as the Packers defeated the Bucs 14-12.

Vikings | Vederian Lowe

Vederian Lowe, a former Auburn Knight and University of Illinois offensive tackle, was selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft and made the Vikings final 53-man roster out of camp. He began the year as a reserve offensive linemen and will fill in when injuries arise. For now, the Vikings improved to 2-1 on the season with their 28-24 victory over the Lions.
