Here’s a quick look at how former Rockford high school standouts performed in the NFL this past weekend.

Jacksonville Jaguars: RB James Robinson and TE Dan Arnold

The Rockford duo did not have a good game in Indianapolis this past weekend. Dan Arnold, a former Boylan Catholic High School athlete, played only a few snaps against the Colts and did not record a single target. Robinson was outshined by second-year running back Travis Etienne Jr. as they shared the backfield.

Robinson finished the day with 12 carries for 54 yards as the Jaguars lost to the Colts 34-27. Etienne had 10 carries for 86 yards.

Green Bay Packers: DL Dean Lowry

The Packers looked awful at home vs. the Jets, losing the game 27-10. Dean Lowry, the former Boylan and Northwestern University defensive lineman, had 2 solo tackles in the game. The Jets racked up 278 total yards against Green Bay.

Minnesota Vikings: OT Vederian Lowe, Miami Dolphins: OL Robert Jones

It was the Rockford showdown in Miami over the weekend as Robert Jones (East High School) and Vederian Lowe (Auburn High School) faced each other in the NFL for the first time. It was hot in Miami, but that didn’t stop the Vikings from going on the road to defeat the Dolphins 24-16.
