ROCKFORD — Ahead of Easter, egg hunts are popping up all over the Stateline. Including one that will be dropping eggs from a helicopter! Check out what the Rockford area has planned for this special holiday.

Easter Eggstravaganza with Kids SPOT
This Easter Eggstravaganza will be held on Saturday, April 8th from 9a-11a. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt, the Easter Bunny will be there for photos and hellos, open gym time, an Easter Craft, and an optional brunch!
When: Saturday, April 8th, 9a-1p

Downtown Rockton Easter Egg Hunt at Settler’s Park
Downtown Rockton businesses and the Village of Rockton are teaming up to bring you and your family a delightfully fun, simple Easter egg hunt at Settlers Park from 10a-11a.Participants should gather at the flagpole promptly by the 10 am start.
NEW THIS YEAR: All kids will start behind the starting barricades for the different age groups. All kids will be limited to a specific number of eggs depending upon the number of participants.
The Easter bunny will visit and be available to take pictures with kids with a cute spring photo backdrop.

The Byron Lions Club is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Byron Forest Preserve on Saturday, April 8, starting at 11 AM sharp!

Rockford Park District’s Carlson Ice Arena and Sapora Playworld are offering indoor fun for the whole family at two special spring Bunny Bash events on April 8th from
1-3 pm.
Carlson Ice Arena – Public ice-skating session; admission to skate is $7 per person; skate rental is available for $2. Daniel Balloons will be on hand creating balloon animal art, and giveaways of candy-filled Easter eggs will also be part of the festivities.
10 am-5 pm, Sapora Playworld – Kids ages 3-12 can enjoy exploring the Playworld three-level indoor soft structure, and children ages 1-3 can play in the Tiny Tots Playspace for $7 per child.

Hop into the museum to fill your basket with yummy treats. Children ages 9 and younger can look for eggs at scheduled times based on age. The rest of the time, children of all ages can create super springtime art and jump into egg-cellent fun. Head out to the YMCA’s pool for an egg hunt! There will be 30 minutes of fun and games, including ring toss, egg diving, duck races, and more. In the last 15 minutes, they will send eggs racing down the slide. Participants can collect the eggs and turn them in for a bag of treats!
