ROCKFORD — Alpine Kiwanis Club has awarded $3,000 scholarships to 10 high school seniors in the Rockford area.

Those scholarships are the result of the nonprofit’s annual Alpine Kiwanis Brat Days, a summer staple that serves up more than 20,000 brats.

More scholarships: Community Foundation of Northern Illinois to award nearly $430K to students

The scholarships will help students pursue either post-secondary education or career training.

The next Alpine Kiwanis Brat Days are slated for July 21 and 22.
