Following the success of the Winter Challenge, 815 Outside is hosting a summer challenge to inspire residents to get outdoors and try new things. People of all ages are invited to take advantage of all Winnebago County has to offer this summer!
To participate, individuals and families should sign up on 815 Outside’s Summer Bingo Challenge webpage, choose a row or column, in which to make a bingo, and then get outside! Participants can choose to complete one bingo (six outdoor activities) and be entered to win a prize from a local business, or complete the entire bingo card (36 outdoor activities) and be entered to win a prize package from the six 815 Outside partners. To be entered in a prize drawing, participants must complete the activities between May 31st and September 6th and submit the online completion form. Local business sponsors include Rockford Art Deli, Rocktown Adventures, Kegel’s Bike Shop, Runner’s Image, and 815 Yoga.
All of the activities on the bingo card are outdoors, low to no cost, and can be completed in the 815 region. The top two rows of the bingo card can be completed by persons with a wheelchair, walker or stroller and the bottom two rows can be completed with small children. A downloadable version of the bingo card is available for participants to cross off activities as they go.
