ROCKFORD — Are you a trained health care professional looking for a job?

UW Health is hosting two hiring events for numerous professions in the medical field.

Both events will take place in the first floor of the Schwartz Auditorium at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital, 1350 Charles St., Rockford.

The first hiring event happens from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 and will highlight multiple positions, including lab assistants, pharmacy technicians and phlebotomists.

Many positions are eligible for a sign-on bonus starting at $500, and UW Health offers a starting pay of $15 an hour.

The second hiring event takes place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 and will highlight available positions for nurses of all levels and patient care technicians/CNAs.

UW Health offers starting pay of at least $33.44 an hour for inpatient nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing and $35.11 an hour for inpatient nurses with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Sign-on bonuses for inpatient positions range from $500 to $10,000.
