Anyone can get sick with influenza (the flu), even healthy people. There is a safe and effective
vaccine available to help fight off the flu. Vaccinations reduce your risk of illness, hospitalization, or even death; and you help prevent the spread of flu to others.

Now is the time to get your flu vaccine, before influenza begins spreading in our community. Health officials recommend that everyone 6 months and older receive the flu vaccine this season. Because of the pandemic, getting the flu vaccine this year is even more important to keep you healthy. Don’t let flu happen, get your flu vaccine.

This year, the Winnebago County Health Department (WCHD) is hosting drive-thru flu vaccine clinics for Winnebago County residents age 6 months and older at no cost to recipients. Parents or legal guardians must be with children under 18 years of age. No appointment needed. If you have one, please bring your photo id card and your insurance card with you. Please remember to wear your face coverings. More information is available online here.
