Even though Breast Cancer Awareness Month is over, the disease itself is still circling around not just the Stateline, but the country as well.

Between the months of April and September 2020, about 76 people were diagnosed with breast cancer, according to SwedishAmerican Hospital- A Division of UW Health. They also said they are seeing fewer and fewer people get mammograms.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the medical group did not offer mammograms for a few weeks in 2020 says, SwedishAmerican Physician Assistant Megan Buja. But now, she says there have been about 2,000 fewer mammograms when being compared to 2019.
