Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced Thursday that Illinois will folllow suit with Federal authorities and extend the deadline for state taxes to be filed no later than May 17, 2021. There is no change to how the state processes taxes filed before the deadline, however this will give many Illinois residents some much needed extra time to file.
