Here are today’s Nerd News! headlines:

  • Anyone Wanna Buy Nothing?: Jack Dorsey, the guy who invented Twitter is selling his first tweet. I didn’t know you could sell a Tweet, but there is something called a non-fungible token, which is basically code that manifests as images, which apparently counts as another form of art. You would get a certificate stating that you own the Dorsey Tweet, which reads “Just setting up my twttr”  Gold. So far the highest bid is at about 2.5 million, but Dorsey said he’d be willing to go as high as 10 million. For a Tweet.
  • Either Way, Your Ears Will Bleed: Marshall, the makers of the most famous guitar amps in the world, are coming out with their very own wireless earbuds. The Mode 2 earbuds as they are called offer 25 horus of playback time, a charging case, customizable EQ and adjustable ear tips. Those come out march 18th, but you can preorder them now. Though, they will probably run you about 180 bucks.
  • But Will It Have A Rumble Pack? Sony, the makers of PlayStation have a patent filed that suggests that any number of items in your home could be magically transformed into game controllers. If you look at the patent, there are diagrams that show a banana being used, with object detection and motion capture. Basically you would pretend the banana is a controller, and press virtual buttons, and it would work the same as your PlayStation controller. A patent is just a patent, and while there are no guarantees, it’s reassuring to know that I can play GTA with whatever fruit I have lying around.
