Danny McDade, president of the Irish Marching Society, joins Steve Summers and Ryan Sartori on This Week in the Stateline to talk about a special live performance the group is hosting this weekend as part of its Celtic Concert Series.
The Fitzgeralds, a high-energy fiddling and step-dancing group from Canada, will perform Friday at the Rockford Public Library Nordlof Center.
“They don’t just sing and dance: They interact with the audience. They interact with each other,” McDade said. “It’s a stage act.”

The Fitzgeralds consist of siblings Tom and Kerry Fitzgerald with Alanna Jenish and Graeme McGillvray.
The show happens at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at RPL Nordlof Center, 118 N. Main St., in downtown Rockford.
